Streszczenie:
CERIC is a European Research Infrastructure Consortium (ERIC) that provides open access to some of the most advanced analytical facilities in Europe to help science and industry advance in all fields of materials, biomaterials and nanotechnology, with a focus on energy materials and life sciences. With a single-entry point to some of the leading national research infrastructures in 8 European countries, it enables the delivery of innovative solutions to societal challenges in the fields of energy, health, food, cultural heritage, etc. Charles University is a co-founder and active participant of CERIC, which provides public users access to several powerful analytical techniques, such as SRPES, XPD, and NAP-XPS, for studying the structure, composition, and reactivity of solid surfaces in different conditions. We have experience in studying the surfaces and interfaces of a vast range of materials used in diverse fields, such as heterogeneous catalysis, gas sensors, fuel cells, etc. We perform studies of the well-defined model surfaces in UHV conditions and investigate real materials in conditions close to the real operational conditions (performing the so-called operando study).
