Streszczenie:
When two quantum systems are coupled via mediator their dynamics has traces of non-classical properties of the mediator and of interaction Hamiltonians. I will show the conditions under which mediated dynamics allows increment of quantum entanglement between the coupled systems.
These turn out to be rather counterintuitive. For example, quantum entanglement between the two systems can grow without entangling the mediator at all (at all times). Even more intriguing is the possibility of entangling two systems via classical mediator, accessible if a suitable initial state is supplied. This discussion will be intertwined with studies of two masses coupled gravitationally. I will argue what exactly can we say about the gravity if entanglement gain between the masses is observed experimentally. Feasibility conditions for such an experiment will be derived and show that it is within reach of the current generation. Finally, I'll sketch future research directions which could further strengthen conclusions that can be drawn from this and similar experiments.
