Q-voter model with noise on multiplex network

Complex networks describe a wide range of systems in nature and society. In the first part of my talk I will present a short review on the structure and dynamics of complex networks. Moreover the definition of multiplex and multilayer networks will be introduced.
In the second part of my talk, I will describe a simple model of opinion dynamics, known as the q-voter model with noise, on the new type of network, i.e., multiplex network. In order to examine the influence of the multiplex topology on the q-voter dynamics I perform Monte Carlo simulations on a very trivial network topology that consist of two levels each of which represented by a fully connected graph. Finally, an evidence will be given that even a simple rearrangement into a duplex topology leads to significant changes on the macroscopic scale related to observed order-disorder phase transition.
