Possibilities of tuning the spectroscopic properties of inorganic phosphors
dr hab. inż. Karol Lemański
INTiBS PAN
Luminescent materials possess many applications in everyday life. First of all, they are used in the lighting industry, as well as in many devices, including smartphones, televisions and for securing banknotes and documents. New phosphors are sought, especially those for which it will be relatively easy to obtain the expected parameters for new applications and those that will be able to successfully improve the commonly used white LEDs.
During the presentation, the results of research on spectroscopic properties and the possibilities of their tuning, based on selected inorganic phosphors doped with lanthanide ions and transition metal ions, will be presented. These materials are characterized by interesting crystallographic structures, which gives many possibilities for their use as phosphors.
