
Dr hab. Anna Gągor, prof. ILTSR PAS graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of the University of Rzeszów in 2002. Since then, she has been associated with the Institute of Low Temperature and Structural Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences where she completed her doctoral studies (2007), habilitation (2017), and got a professorship (2022). In 2011 she was a scholarship holder of the Foundation for Polish Science in the START program. Presently she is a member of the Scientific Council of the Institute, a member of the Polish Society of Crystallography, and a Commission on Inorganic and Mineral Structures associated with the International Union of Crystallography. For 20 years, she has been a co-organizer of the Polish Crystallographic Meeting (Konwersatorium Krystalograficzne) which is an annual meeting place and a forum for the exchange of views of all Polish crystallographers. Her interdisciplinary research focuses on:
- structural analysis of crystalline materials via x-ray diffraction
- phase transitions in ferroic and multiferroic materials
- structure-property relations in organic-inorganic hybrids
- disordered, commensurately, and incommensurately modulated structures.
