As many as four scientists associated with the Institute of Low Temperature and Structure Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences have been included in the prestigious Best Materials Science Scientists 2026 in Poland ranking, prepared by Research.com:

The Research.com ranking is based on an analysis of the scientific achievements of researchers in the field of materials science, taking into account factors such as the impact of publications, their influence within the scientific community, and their significance for the development of the discipline. A key element of the evaluation is the D-index (Discipline H-index) – an improved bibliometric metric that considers only publications and citations related to a specific field, in this case, materials science. This focused approach allows for a more precise assessment of the actual impact of researchers within their specialization. At the same time, it is worth emphasizing that bibliometric data, while important, are not the only measure of the value of scientific achievements.

This distinction confirms the long-standing, consistent commitment of our researchers to the development of materials science and the high quality of research conducted at the Institute.
