FNP START 2026 Scholarship Awards Gala – celebrating the success of young scientists from INTiBS PAN

16 June 2026

On June 13, 2026, the Foundation for Polish Science (FNP) START scholarship awards gala took place at Wawel Royal Castle. The event marked the culmination of this year's program, the results of which were announced earlier, and the ceremony itself provided an opportunity to jointly honor and celebrate the successes of young scientists.

We are delighted to reiterate that this year's laureates include two young researchers from the Institute of Low Temperature and Structure Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences:

Patrycja Zdeb-Stańczykowska and Adam Kabański

Their distinction in the START 2026 program, previously announced by the Foundation, was officially confirmed during the gala at Wawel Castle. This exceptional achievement confirms the high level of research conducted at INTiBS and the potential of the Institute's young scientific staff.

For over 30 years, the START program has supported the most talented young scientists in Poland, rewarding their achievements and providing impetus for further development. This year, 100 winners were selected from over 800 applications, each receiving an annual stipend of PLN 30,000.

The ceremony at Wawel Castle – the first in the program's history to be held outside of Warsaw – brought together representatives of the academic and research communities from across Poland. The importance of supporting young scientists at the early stages of their careers and their key role in the development of science and innovation were emphasized.

The inclusion of Patrycja Zdeb-Stańczykowska and Adam Kabański in this prestigious group is a source of pride for the entire INTiBS PAN community and another opportunity to congratulate them on their outstanding achievements.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations and wish them continued scientific success!
