Mixology of hybrid perovskites

Cation engineering offers a powerful strategy to control the structure and properties of hybrid lead halide perovskites, leading to the highest-performing solar cells based on mixed compositions of these materials. In this work, I present a comprehensive study combining experimental and theoretical techniques to investigate structural phase transitions, structural phases, and dipolar dynamics in mixed hybrid perovskites. Our findings reveal a pronounced suppression of structural phase transitions, increased molecular cation disorder, stabilization of the cubic phase, and the emergence of an exotic dipolar glass phase.
