Prof. Dariusz Kaczorowski among the laureates of the Wrocław Science Award

We are proud to announce that Prof. Dariusz Kaczorowski, Director of the Włodzimierz Trzebiatowski Institute of Low Temperature and Structure Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Wrocław, has been awarded the 2026 Wrocław Science Award.


The award was presented by the Mayor of Wrocław during the joint inauguration ceremony for the 2026/2027 academic year, held on October 1st in the historic Aula Leopoldina at the University of Wrocław. The event brought together representatives of the academic communities from Wrocław’s eleven public higher education institutions.

The Wrocław Science Award, presented since 2016, recognizes outstanding scholars and artists who not only achieve scientific success but also actively foster collaboration and strengthen the academic community. The award highlights the special contribution of individuals who promote Wrocław on both the national and international stages.

Professor Dariusz Kaczorowski is one of the most distinguished Polish experimental physicists. As a renowned scientist and a member of prestigious scientific bodies in Poland and abroad, he has long cultivated international scientific ties, effectively promoting Wrocław as a key hub for research and innovation. The Award Committee recognized his scientific work and commitment to the academic community as an exemplary model of combining scientific excellence with the creation of lasting partnerships between research institutions.

We extend our sincere congratulations to the Professor on this prestigious honor and wish him continued scientific success and further achievements in advancing both Polish and global science.
