ILT&SR PAS signed a petition to locate the European Space Agency in Wrocław
On Wednesday, 14 January 2026, representatives of the national government administration, local governments of Lower Silesia, the scientific community – including university rectors and representatives of Wrocław’s PAS institutes – as well as business representatives jointly signed a letter constituting the region’s official application to the European Space Agency. The document was also sent to the Prime Minister.
In this way, the candidacy of Wrocław and the entire Lower Silesia region was submitted as the location for the future ESA Technology Centre in Poland. This is a joint, unanimous position of all involved groups, emphasizing that the region has real strengths to become an important point on the map of the European space sector.
We will learn the results of the ESA competition as early as April this year.
