Optical properties of Fe-doped Bi12SiO20

An absorption line specific for Fe4+ ion at tetrahedral position was observed at T=4.2K. Intensity of the line diminishes with prolonged blue light illumination. The Zeeman effect was investigated in magnetic fields up to 30T.
