Gajowicka 95, sala seminaryjna (nowy budynek, II piętro) Magnetic pinning in superconductor-ferromagnet heterostructuresDr. V. L. BezusyyMLSPMiNT PANOne of the important parameters for application of high-temperature superconductors is the critical current density Jc. The value of Jc may be increased by increasing the flux pinning capability of the superconductor. Magnetic pinning is alternative to the core pinning. For realization of the magnetic pinning, one has to create strong magnetic field gradients by using arrays of magnetic particles or domains of the ferromagnetic layers in superconductor-ferromagnet heterostructures. The magnetic flux from magnetic structures can pin vortices changing the transport properties of superconductors. In my talk I will present a short review of pinning related effects which may be observed in superconductor-ferromagnet heterostructures.
