Electron transport in wiskers of Те

dr V. A. Berezovets

A.F. Ioffe Physico-Technical Institute, RAS, Saint Petersburg, Russia

Crystalline Te shows interesting optical properties and may be used as a holographic recording material, an infrared photoconductive detector, and for non-linear infrared optics, such as second harmonic generation. Elemental tellurium(Te) with trigonal phase is an important material on applications as photoconductivity, non-linear optical responses, piezoelectricity and thermoelectricity.

Electron transport in wiskers of Те investigated in MLSPMiNT. Due to this investigations Shubnikov-de-Haas effect and  abnormal temperature variation of Hall effect was detected. Analysis of experimental data allowed to determine the energy of the Fermi energy and to explain unusual temperature dependence of Hall effect.
