Nanotechnology Centre at VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava (TUO)
Prof. J. Pištora: The structure of Nanotechnology Centre and its history are described. The Centre is completed from chemical part and physical one, respectively. The research activities and fundamental instrumentation related to chemical departments are presented. Accreditation of new Bc., MSc. and Ph.D. education programme titled „Nanotechnology“ at Centre is mentioned.
Dr. K. Postava: We will summarize recent progress in research performed at Nanotechnology Centre and Department of Physics, VSB - Technical University of Ostrava. The research is focused on the Mueller matrix spectroscopic ellipsometry in a wide spectral range, infrared and THz spectroscopy, investigation of novel magneto-optic materials, study of magneto-plasmon effects, spin-lasers etc. Experimental equipment in spectroscopy and magneto-optics will be introduced and possible field for collaboration will be proposed.
