Gajowicka 95, sala seminaryjna (nowy budynek, II piętro) Study of the magnetic properties of HTS tapes stacks for use in levitation systemsSergey V. Pokrovskiy, Maxim A. OsipovNational Research Nuclear University “MEPHI”, Russia, MoscowWe present experimental data and applications of coated conductors (CC) to levitation systems and main aspects of possible production of an effective levitation systems, or trapped field magnets by using CC tapes. We will discuss working temperature, relaxation and stack size. We present the magnetization loops and magnetization relaxation curves, obtained in a magnetic fields up to 14 T and temperatures ranging from 4.2 K to 77.4 K and levitation force and its relaxation, which was measured for the stack of superconducting tapes at T=77 K. Measurements of the levitation force for different stack sizes demonstrate the linear growth of the force amplitude and improvement of the relaxation characteristics with the increase of the number of tapes in a stack. Tapes stack looks more stable than a bulk sample, while addition of more tapes in a stack increases the magnitude of the levitation force and stability time, which makes them promising materials for application in levitation systems.
