Giant anomalous Hall conductivity in the antiferromagnet EuSnP

dr Karan Singh

Oddział Badań Magnetyków, INTiBS PAN

EuSnP, a layered tetragonal metallic compound, orders antiferromagnetically at 21 K and exhibits a linear decrease in resistivity with temperature up to Néel temperature, defying conventional Fermi-liquid theory and implying Planckian dissipation. With increasing magnetic fields, antiferromagnetic order is accompanied by complex magnetic structures, resulting in magnetization and magnetotransport anomalies. At low temperatures and high magnetic fields, EuSnP exhibits unusually high anomalous Hall conductivity and anomalous Hall angle, indicating the presence of chiral (or topological) magnetic textures associated with strong effective spin-orbit coupling.
