Abstract:
The “super-vision” ability, recently observed in infants, allows them to notice minute details and small changes in the test scenes. It is claimed that this kind of acute perception does not vanish in autistic people and leads to sensory overload and chronic fatigue syndrome, and subsequently to typical for autism behavior anomalies. The validity of the hypothesis, formal models of such perception, its impact on behavior and learning capabilities, together with the verification methods, based on computer-generated realistic interactive scenes and non-invasive, privacy-protecting behavior monitoring, are all presented.
