Description:

The topic of the doctoral dissertation is investigation of the processes of laser-induced hydrogen generation in water and organic liquids, using continuous-wave (CW) laser radiation in the UV, visible and infrared ranges using a graphene ceramic target as an electron emitter.

The PhD dissertation will aim to explain the mechanisms of light interaction with liquid molecules, the relationship between the efficiency of hydrogen generation processes and the electronic properties, as well as the influence of liquid temperature and the type of lasers used.

An important part of the dissertation will be the combination of advanced experimental techniques, including spectroscopic, photo- and electro-catalytic studies. An important aspect of the work is the optimization of experimental techniques aimed in reducing CO₂ and CO. The dissertation will aim to develop technologies for laser-induced hydrogen generation to control high efficiency of the process.
