Streszczenie:

Intensive research efforts are going on to explore various aspects of topological materials. These materials draw particular interest due to their exotic transport properties such as extremely large magnetoresistance (MR), high carrier mobility, chiral anomaly induced negative longitudinal MR etc.. Presence of strong electron correlation makes these semimetals more interesting. Moreover, the interplay between magnetism and topology results in large anomalous and topological Hall effect. I shall present recent results from our group on CaCdSn, YbCdSn and EuAgAs.

CaCdSn is a non-correlated topological nodal-line semimetal which shows extremely large, non-saturating and quasilinear transverse as well as longitudinal MR of ~10^3 %. This compound also exhibits low charge carrier density, high mobility, metal-semiconductor-like crossover and a plateau in resistivity at low temperatures. YbCdSn is a candidate correlated topological material. Electron correlation in this compound leads to an intermediate valence state and enhances the effective mass of the charge carriers. YbCdSn exhibits similar transport properties like CaCdSn such as large non-saturating MR, low charge carrier density, metal-semiconductor-like transition crossover etc.

I shall also present results of an antiferromagnetic Dirac semimetal EuAgAs which orders antiferromagnetically below 12 K. Chiral anomaly induced negative longitudinal magnetoresistance is observed in the paramagnetic region which indicates the presence of Weyl fermion under applied magnetic field. This compound also exhibits anomalous Hall effect as well as topological Hall effect at low temperature.
