This work presents the transport critical current values obtained from in-situ Fe/MgB2 mono and multifilamentary wires. The structural and transport properties of wires are studied by means of SEM analysis and V(I) measurements as a function of the magnetic field at various temperatures. To design a racetrack coil, the critical current degradation should be linked to the minimum wire diameter, geometrical order of the filaments, annealing temperature and time, and external magnetic field strength. Our 19-filament Fe/MgB2 wires (OD = 1mm) tested at cryocooler system(4.2K) in magnetic fields up to 7T showed better critical current value in comparison to those of the wires with smaller diameter.
