Project NEW LOKS
NEW LOKS new efficient phosphors for lighting and solar concentrators
Creating new phosphors is the aim of Institute of Low Temperature and Structure Research PAN University of Wrocław and University of Gdańsk consortium. Three fourths from 16.4 million zl granted by European Fund for Regional Development within the Innovative Economy programme will be used during the first stage while creating chemical compounds (phosphors) which will be the basis for creating sources of light:
- cheap,
- energy-saving,
- eco-friendly,
- with emission spectrum similar to the solar spectrum.
During the second stage of the project the rest of the funds as well as experience gained will be used to create phosphors that will improve solar concentrators’ efficiency.
Phosphors created within NEW LOKS project will be products of 21st century, Using the most modern material engineering technologies and connecting it with a huge research potential of our team, we would like to create an energy-saving and eco-friendly solution . The solution which will improve the level of innovation in electronics, photonics, optics enterprises. What is crucial, they may be implemented by our native companies.
